Causes: | Engine PCA damaged or wrongly connected. Connector on the formatter damaged (very low probability). |
Remedy: | Call agent: • Restart the printer. Service engineer: 1. Replace the engine PCA board (95% probabilities). See Engine PCA. 2. If the problem persist, replace the formatter PCA board (very low probability). See Formatter PCA. |

Description: | ISS PCA Problem. The ISS PCA has failed to respond. |
Remedy: | • Switch the Power OFF from the back of the Printer and disconnect the Power cord. Reconnect the power cord and power On the Printer. • Check the connections of the ISS PCAs (Upper and Lower) are correctly connected and not damaged. • Check with another set of Ink Cartridges, to ensure the error is not with the Ink Cartridges. • Replace the ISS PCAs (Upper and lower). |

Reconnect the power cord and power On the Printer. • Check that the Trailing Cable is not damaged. • Check that the Trailing Cable is correctly connected to the Carriage PCA, Interconnect PCA and to the Sausalito PCI PCA. • Replace the Carriage PCA . • Replace the Sausalito PCI PCA . • Replace the Interconnect PCA. |

Remedy: | • Check that at least 256 megabytes of memory is installed in the Printer. • Check that the Memory Module is installed correctly. • Try installing the Memory Module in the other Memory slot and check if the System Error appears. • If the System Error reappears, replace the Memory Module . • If the System Error does NOT reappear, then the original slot could be faulty. In this case, replace the Main PCA |

Switch the Power OFF from the back of the Printer, remove the Printhead Maintenance Cartridge, and check if there`s any obstacle along the MC path. 4. Check that the MC is not finished, and the web advance is working properly. 5. Check the spit roller and rack engage mechanisms. Service engineer: 1. If the error happens after printing for several hours and is cleared after power cycling, small damage in the encoder can cause the print carriage to lose its position little by little. The same effect could be produced by aerosol, ink or oil stain on the encoder. Clean (or replace) the encoder strip if it is dirty (or damaged). 2.
